Several months ago, we made the switch to milk from a local dairy out of Othello. The milk is 100% grass-fed, organic, lightly pasteurized and unhomogenized. It was a great switch for our family, but we definitely felt the hit in our budget. We have paid upwards of $7 per gallon! Well worth it, but an adjustment all the same.
My friend Kim let me know that Yoke’s Fresh Markets in our area has the Pure Eire milk we buy marked down to just $4.39/gallon through October 8th. This is an amazing price, cheaper even than Fred Meyer’s store brand organic milk that is NOT local. We’ve heard this may only be at the West Richland location, let us know if you find it at the other stores. Either way, it’s worth the drive.
If you have been thinking about trying out this milk, now is the perfect time. To read more about why we made our switch, click here.
