This Friday, March 7th, Whole Foods is having a great sale on fresh tulips, pay just $10 for three 10-stem bunches!  This is a fantastic price and would look so pretty on your kitchen table or you could split them up to give as gifts.

Tips for tulips from Whole Foods:

  • After buying tulips, cut the stem ends on an angle and place in clean, cold water.
  • Arrange tulips with or without twigs and remove any leaves that fall below the water line. Remember that the tulips will grow taller.
  • Use fresh, cold water with no additives to help them live longer.
  • Use a tall vase to support the growing stems or cut shorter for use in smaller containers.
  • Tulips prefer the cold, so keep them in a cool spot away from bright lights and heat.

I wish we had a Whole Foods nearby!

This Friday, September 13th, Whole Foods is having a great sale on grass-fed beef.  At just $4.99 per pound, this is an average savings of over $2 per pound!  If you have never purchased grass-fed beef before, you’re probably thinking this a pretty high price, but I assure you it’s worth it.  This beef comes from cattle raised on pasture their entire lives (not grain-fed) and is insanely delicious.

There doesn’t appear to be a limit so head in early or call ahead to your local store to place an order.

This Friday, August 23rd, Whole Foods is having a great sale on whole roasted fryer chickens from Draper Valley Farms in Mt. Vernon, Washington.  For just $5, you can pick up a whole fryer that was raised humanely and without antibiotics.  LOVE.  These are so fantastic for quick dinners, to add to salads or fill tacos or enchiladas and much more.  We even use the bones to make a flavorful chicken stock.

Whole-Foods-One-Day-Sale

This Friday, July 19th, Whole Foods is having a great sale on organic strawberries at just $1.99 per pound!  A good price for conventional strawberries is anywhere between $1.25 and $1.50 per pound, so this is great for organic.

Strawberries are one of the fruits that we really try to buy organic when we can.  According to the EWG, they are in the “Dirty Dozen” list of highest pesticide rating on fruits and vegetables.  I wish we had a Whole Foods nearby!

GrapeODS

This Friday, June 28th, Whole Foods is having a CRAZY sale on organic red and green grapes at just $.99 per pound!  To be honest, I don’t think I can remember a time when conventionally grown grapes have gone this low, so this is a drop-what-you-are-doing-and-run deal.

whole-foods-organic-chickens This Friday only, February 22nd, Whole Foods is offering fresh organic whole chickens for just $1.99/lb.  This is an AMAZING price, these can run anywhere from $4 – $6 per pound regularly.  Definitely stock-up worthy!

I cook up a whole fryer chicken about 3 times per month following this Simple Roast Chicken recipe.  So delicious and so simple.  We can squeeze a few meals out of one bird and then I use the bones, fat and inner stuff to make homemade stock.

Please: These are while supplies only and stock may vary by location.

Thanks Frugal Living NW!
