Nordstrom sent me an email a few weeks ago about creating my perfect gift guide for the holidays. Instead of sharing what I like to give for gifts, which is approximately 793 different things on any given day or whatever strikes my fancy or the cutest thing on the shelf that day, I thought I would share some of my favorite things that might strike your gift fancy. I always appreciate giving (and receiving) gifts that come with a personal recommendation or have been proven by every single person on the planet to be awesome.
Zella Live-In Leggings - This is totally new to you I’m sure. I’ve never talked about Zellas. Or my fantastical love.obsession.addiction to these pants. They are warm and flattering and insanely comfortable. And they are reversible. REVERSIBLE pants. Brilliant. Everyone should have a pair and everyone that does declares their undying love. You can’t go wrong with a gift that everyone loves. Let’s create a Zella army.
Look, look! There they are.
If you have a fitness-minded friend of family member, buy the Zella Live-In Capris. I own 472 pairs and they are all I wear to the gym.
Bobeau Asymmetrical Fleece Wrap Cardigan – I know. I’ve also mentioned this once or twice. Everyone needs one. Or twelve. It comes in 20 different colors and is crazy soft and crazy warm. It’s cute with jeans or leggings, over a dress or skirt. It goes with EVERYTHING and would be the perfect gift. It fits everyone and is cute on everyone and makes even the least fashionable (read: me) look like they know what they’re doing.
JUNK Brand Headbands - My husband bought me one of these headbands for my birthday last year and it has been a workout staple ever since. They are super stretchy and flexible, but stay put throughout every workout imaginable. Bonus? I wear them on the days I don’t wash my hair and it covers up a lot of nasty. They come in tons of different colors, a few different styles and even offer an Ear Warmer style. Perfect for outside workouts!
Pretty nail polish - I have an addiction to buying nail polish. It generally ends up being varying shades of the same colors, sometimes with sparkles, but if I find any sort of deal that seems remotely good, I end up coming home with three bottles. A fun nail polish matched with a cute scarf, a pair of earrings or a fun necklace makes a very easy gift that can easily be personalized for the person you are giving it to. If you find a way to give blocks of time to actually paint your nails with the nail polish, bonus points. LOVE these Essie polish colors.
Smelly candles - Also known as “Things I Never Spend My Own Money On”. I big puffy heart candles. Love the ambiance they provide, how they can cover up any weird smells your children have left behind. I have a hard time buying good quality candles when we need other important things like food and CrossFit gear. It feels frivolous. But receiving one for a gift? It’s like a unicorn wrapped in a rainbow. I’m pretty sure I enjoy them more when I didn’t have to spend any money on them. Are there people out there who don’t like candles? These are a sure fire hit.
These amazing 3-wick candles from Bath & Body Works come in some amazing scents and last FOREVER. They are carrying super festive scents right now like Champagne Toast and Peach Bellini. Perfect hostess gift for a New Year’s party!
