Update: Looks like Tri-Cities did NOT receive these coupons. Bummer! Let us know if you received them and how they are working for you.

This is the first time I have seen these “Triple Coupons” in a Rite Aid weekly ad.  Basically, the item will ring up at it’s marked price, then the coupon will scan and triple it’s original amount.  This will help to boost your total, as the item will scan at regular price.

There could be some trial and error with these, as I have never used them before.  The coupons are Rite Aid store coupons, as the bar code starts with an RC.  That means that they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons, making these deals even sweeter.  I’m not going to list all the products, just the best deals I see.  Make sure to check your ad to see if there is anything else you will use.

triple coupons…interesting!

Meghan March 20, 2010 at 11:10 pm

The Kingsford Charcoal Coupons state up to a $3.00 value off the glad bags, so not totally free, unless you can come up with some glad coupons.

Melody March 20, 2010 at 11:51 pm

Thanks for the heads up Meghan, I hadn't printed the coupon yet. I'll update the post!

Question about the rebate wyb 2Quilted Northern. (Please forgive me if this is a silly question, I am pretty new to couponing :D). The fine print on the rebate says that you have to spend $20 on Georgia-Pacific products after "discounts and credits". Do you know exactly what constitutes discounts and credits? I am assuming from the scenario you set up that this does NOT include coupons, but I want to confirm before making my purchase. Thanks!

Melody March 23, 2010 at 2:39 am

Christie – Not a silly question at all, totally legitimate! To be honest, I have never actually seen a rebate form talk about "discounts and credits" so I'm not totally sure what that means. What I can tell you is that I have submitted between 30 and 40 rebates over the past year, have used coupons on every single one and have never been denied. My total has always been under the amount they specify after coupons.

Each product on your receipt will show a line item total of $10.99, making your total after two over $20.

This is the best info I can give you. I have NEVER had a rebate not paid out to me because of coupons.

Rite Aid would not let me use the covergirl BOGO with BOGO sale, is this legit (said mascara isn't face product) or should I try another Rite Aid…I had to void the whole transaction because it lowered my total and couldn't use the $5 off 🙁

Melody March 24, 2010 at 12:22 am

Anonymous –
It depends on the reason they denied the coupon. If it as solely because it was a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale, that is incorrect. It says clearly on their policy that they will accept these two together: http://www.dealseekingmom.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Rite-Aid-Official-Corporate-Coupon-Policy.pdf

If it was because they didn't accept mascara as a "face" item, this is a little bit more of a grey area. I think in this case, it is the manager's discretion because there isn't any clear cut rules about what is and isn't allowed with this coupon. If you have another RA in your area, give it a try. I have read several comments on other blogs about mascara and other random products working just fine.

Hope this helps!
