How do you get your Rite Aid ad early? I get the Walgreens one e-mailed to me on Thursday.

Melody February 20, 2011 at 12:33 am

I use iheartriteaid.com, she has ads up sometimes a month out!

Anonymous February 20, 2011 at 5:23 am

I made a purchase tonight at Rite Aid with items that I had rain checks for. The cashier informed me that she wouldn't be able to adjust the price to account for the UP Rewards that were being offered at the time of the ad even though the rain checks had the UP Rewards noted. In the past they have always just taken the Up Reward amount off the price of the item. The cashier who rang me up today was the one who had written the rain checks. She said that I was going to have to call the 1-800 number at the bottom of my receipt and then they would credit my account, when I questioned how I would get the credit she said the UPs would print the next time I made a purchase. Then when I asked if she was sure they were for sure issuing the rewards she said she had no idea. She said they changed the policy a few weeks ago…I got my rain checks a couple weeks ago. I am really frustrated! How are rain checks working for others?

The 1-800 number for Rite Aid was very helpful for me. I didn't receive UP rewards that I was due, & they asked for no proof of purchase, they just mailed me coupon UP rewards for the total due me. They are paper coupons that they can mail you. Give them a call.

I bought 4 Chex Mix today with a raincheck 2/$3 and got four $1 UPS rewards. Since I had used $1 off from each one, it ended up as a $3 moneymaker.

THANK YOU Melody for your note about the Scott Bathroom Tissue! I buy the Marathon Ultra tissue from Costco that is about 80 cents per 100 square feet. It's hard to know if the coupon deals for T.P. are better than that b/c we never know the square footage, so I usually just pass them up. So THANK YOU!!

Melody February 21, 2011 at 4:42 am

Anon 1 – I have never honestly used a rain check at Rite Aid, but several others have told me they are given the after-reward price. Sorry you ran into trouble, hopefully you are able to clear it up!

Nice find on the Chex Mix, how did I miss that price??

Lora – TP and paper towel deals aggravate me! I wish they would tell us the square feet in the ad. How are we supposed to decipher b/t mega, ultra, super, super-ultra? 🙂

Kerrie February 22, 2011 at 6:41 pm

Yes, I have used rain checks a few times and they are supposed to deduct the up reward from the price. I called 1800 rite aid prior to going in so i would be informed on the policy and I ended up talking to two different reps who both said the stores are supposed to do it that way. That being said, when i do run into trouble, They have mailed me the UPs I was owed with minimal questions asked. Good luck!
