These cookies are so fun to make with kids! They make a ton so be prepared to share with friends and neighbors. In the end, you and your kiddos will have to get your fingers in the bowl for the final mix. It’s the best! I put this in the directions, but I’ll say it again here. DO NOT OVER BAKE. I’m sure it would be fine as a crunchy cookie but it is unbelievable as a soft, squishy one.
3 cups packed brown sugar
2 cups white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons corn syrup
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter
3 cups peanut butter
9 cups rolled oats
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups candy-coated milk chocolate pieces (M&Ms)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a very large bowl, beat the eggs.
Add the remaining ingredients in order, mixing well. (Mixing with hands in the end is usually necessary)
Use an ice cream scoop (or a 1/4 cup) (yes, these are huge cookies) to put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Do NOT over bake!
