The Tri-Cities 2012 Family Expo is coming soon!  This year the Expo runs Friday January 27th from 12 PM to 8 PM and Saturday January 28th from 10 AM to 5 PM and is located at the TRAC facility in Pasco.

This is a fantastic family event, here are just a few of the activities available:

  • Over 100 retail vendors
  • Pacific Science Center’s BrainPower on both days
  • Live entertainment including Ronald McDonald
  • Interactive activities

Admission is just $5 for adults, $1 for Senior Citizens and kids ages 3-17.  Kids under 3 are free.  For more information, click here.

Katie from the Tri-Cities Family Expo has very generously offered a family pass to the Expo for 2 lucky readers.  Each family pass will admit 2 adults and 3 children and will get you in both Friday and Saturday.

Please leave a comment letting us know what your favorite family-friendly activity is in the Tri-Cities.  I’d also love to hear if you have been to the Expo in past years!

This will give you a total of two possible entries.  Please make sure your email address is correct in your comment as this is the only method I have to contact you.

This giveaway will end on January 22nd, 2012 at 8pm PST.  Once I choose a winner, you will have 24 hours to respond with your contact information.

Good luck!

Our favorite family activity is having a picnic on the park-especially fun if it’s warm enough to play in the water!

Brandy January 18, 2012 at 8:06 pm

We like all the camping options within a short drive in any direction from the TC!!

We like going to baseball games and hockey games and I love going for family walks on the nice paths we have in town. We’ve been to family expo once and would love tickets to go again.

My daughter and I went to the expo last year and had a blast! She especially had fun when she was in a bubble and met Ronald McDonald. I can’t wait to take her this year.
Just one of the activities my family and I love to do is head to the Playground of Dreams then to the duck pond!

I also shared the expo information on my facebook page, encouraging others to attend!

We are new to Tri Cities and love all of the parks. When I was home last winter, we were at the park at least 4 times a week. So much to do for families.

As a family we love to watch and support our local hockey and baseball teams. As well as travel to other cities to watch football:) Go Cougs!

We love to pack a picnic and head over to the park next to the Kennewick Library. The kids get to run around in the water, look at the flowers, feed the ducks and play on the playground. If we’re lucky there might be roller derby practice so I can get some “girl power” on with my daughter. Oh, and the library is great too.

We have never been to the expo, but have always heard about it and wanted to go. One of our new favorite TC area activities (okay, Grandview) which I heard about here is going to Bill’s Berry Farm. My kids had a blast and we could’ve stayed for 4 more hours had we let them. We will definately be visiting them again for their cherry and blueberry festival and again for their fall festival.

We usually just shop and eat when we drive over to Tri Cities (which I love 😛 haha) but this past summer we had a blast at your farmers markets and the park in richland with the wading pool and awesome toys 🙂

Sunnie January 21, 2012 at 7:41 pm

Our favorite thing is going down to Howard Amon for Art in the park and music festivals and having a picnic. We have never been to the family expo. We would like to go!

Mellie January 22, 2012 at 9:20 am

One of our favorite things is going to the local farms or farmers markets to get fresh fruit and veggies to make homemade salsa or jam. We have never been to the family expo. We are planning on going this year and free passes would be awesome!

My girls and I love to visit Colmbia Park in Tri-Cities! WE like to bring a picnic and spend the day playing and checking out all the animal life in and around the water. The family expo is great….even my 18 yr old had a fun time…..a great time for the family to spend together.

Annie January 22, 2012 at 7:50 pm

I have not lived in the Tri-Cities long enough to explore all the family activities… But so far, my favorite is the fair.

I have not even been to the EXPO yet. :$

Kim January 22, 2012 at 7:56 pm
