I’m getting ready to sign off the computer for the year and usher in 2013 with some wonderful friends. Emilie and I have been hard at work brainstorming for the coming year and have some exciting things on the horizon for the blog. For myself and for our family, we have our own goals for the new year as well.
Off and on today, however, I can’t help but reflect back on the year that’s been. While I LOVE the idea of a fresh start and a chance to get reorganized and start anew on some things we want to work on (budgeting, menu planning, organizing, oh my!), I don’t want to sweep 2012 under the rug quite yet. Our family had a wonderful year, with lots of milestones and great moments. We took two trips to Vegas (our home away from home), celebrated a 2nd and 4th birthday (as well as a 31st and 32nd), reined in our fear and joined an amazing new gym, bought a brand new house and so much more.
As for the blog, this is a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for making this an amazing year. (I am currently creeping up on my 3rd anniversary!) The blog has been a sounding board, a career, a frustration (yes, it’s true) and most importantly, one of the biggest blessings in my life. It has enabled me to stay home with my children, to build a wonderful community and to pursue what I never knew was my passion.
Here’s to a fabulous and safe New Year!
