Follow me in the Ross Dress for Less Treasure Hunt competition

by Melody on October 31, 2011

I have been asked to participate in the Ross Dress for Less Treasure Hunt competition over the next few months.  I will be competing against 7 other bloggers across the nation to find the best deals in 3 different categories:

Fall Fashion
Room Redecorate: Holiday Table Decorations
Holiday Chic: Dressing up for the Holidays

Ross will provide me with gift cards to do my shopping and a video camera to document my shopping trips.  For each challenge, I will post my video on the Ross Facebook page and people will like, share and comment on their favorite videos.  It’s possible they will poke fun at me as well, I guess I should be prepared for that too.  I can be a bit of a nerd.

If you have been following me for any length of time, you have seen the Ross gift card giveaways I have done.  For each giveaway, I was provided a gift card to check out the store and was sufficiently impressed each time.  Ross has some really amazing stuff and I was really able to stretch my dollars towards the purchase of new clothes for me and my kids, shoes, toys and games and much more.

Each blogger in this competition will be judged on how well they can stretch their money, who can find the best bargains and who gets the most likes, shares and comments on their videos.  The winner of the entire competition will get a sponsored trip to an amazing blogging conference in Nashville in February.  I would love to win, of course, but just being able to go shopping is perk enough as it is.

I’m SO thrilled to be partnering with Ross Dress for Less again and am so happy they reached out to me.  You have all responded so well to the giveaways I’ve done for them and I can tell that Ross is a favorite of many of yours to shop.  I’m excited to see what kind of bargains I can find and can’t wait to share them with you!

I will be sharing my progress with you every step of the way.  As it happens, my first shopping trip will be with Emilie in Seattle.  As the first challenge is fashion, I truly don’t think there is any way I can go wrong.  Emilie is THE Fashion Queen and will get this girl out of her everyday rut.

I hope you’re as excited as me.  Ross is such an amazing resource for those of us on a budget!

Love, love, love Ross! This is one of the stores I stop at most often, because I can find things in fashion, still brand new but somewhere closer to my budget!
