Back to school lunch round-up: Juice boxes and other drinks

by Melody on August 16, 2011

Yesterday, we posted a round-up of some inexpensive snack ideas to pack for back to school lunches.  Today, we have found some great deals on beverages to go with those snacks.  Amazon is such a wonderful place to stock up on these smaller items that are perfect to throw in a lunch box.  You are buying in semi-bulk at full-bulk prices.

All of these require choosing the Subscribe & Save option on the right hand side.

IZZE Apple Sparkling Juice (8.4 oz cans, pack of 24) – Use promo code BTSIZZE4 to drop your price down to $17.25 or $.72 each (other flavors available for slightly more per can)

Honest Kids Certified Organic Fruit Quenchers (6.75 oz pouches, pack of 32) – No promo code needed, pay just $11.79 or $.37 each

O.N.E. Coconut Water with a Splash of Mango (8.5 oz, pack of 12) – No promo code needed, pay just $11.90 or $.99 each

Apple & Eve Big Bird’s Apple Juice (4.23 oz boxes, pack of 40) – No promo code needed, pay just $14.72 or $.37 each

Hershey’s 2% Chocolate Milk (8 oz boxes, pack of 21) – No promo code needed, pay just $10.57 or $.50 each

Kool-Aid Strawberry Kiwi Jammers (6 oz pouches, pack of 40) – No promo code needed, pay just $7.03 or $.18 per pouch

Subscribe & Save does mean that you are now signed up to receive recurring shipments at whatever interval you chose. If you do not want to receive additional shipments, just go into “My Account” and click on “Manage Subscribe & Save Items”.  All you have to do is cancel your subscription, you are under no obligation to purchase additional items.

Still looking for easy, tried and true school lunch ideas.  How do you keep things simple while not breaking the bank?

Not trying to rain on your parade…..just thought I’d mention that you can also get 36 Hansen’s juice boxes that are 100% juice at Costco for just under 25 cents per box….but then you have to leave the house! 🙂
