Amazon: Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred DVD on sale $6.99

I am officially done with “Round Two” of the Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred.  It took me almost six months to complete two rounds, or 60 days, of the workout.  I promise that my final update is coming, including my random thoughts on motivation.  Although maybe I should just get motivated to write the post?

I digress.

I wanted to give you a heads up that Amazon has the 30-Day Shred DVD on sale right now for $6.99.  I have been watching the price for awhile and $7.99 is the lowest I have seen it.  If you have been wanting to try this out (and I highly recommend it), this is a great time!

A few quick reasons why I recommend this workout:

It’s super quick.  At most, it’s 25 minutes with stretching and cool down.  I can squeeze it in to an episode of Phineas and Ferb and everyone in the house is happy.

It’s super effective.  She makes really good use of those 25 minutes and it’s over before you know it.

In six months, I dropped from 152 pounds to 135 pounds.  I have not been 135 pounds since probably my freshman year of high school.  I have muscles in places I didn’t even know I had muscles.

I feel SO much better after working out.  My clothes fit better, I have more energy and I really find that I eat better.

My mom is doing this workout with my 16-year old brother.  They both look amazing, even though my mom doesn’t think so yet.

One disclaimer: There are some high-impact moves in this workout.  She has two gals in the video with her and one does lower impact moves.  Follow along with her if you have trouble.  My mom does the lower impact moves and she still finds the workout really effective.

my friend shared this post on google reader, so I came over here, visiting for the first time. I just started doing Power 90 with my husband, and it’s a good workout (I’ve been so sore!), but it also feels like it’s totally for men– and I do not want the look of a muscle-y man (crazy, I know!). Maybe I’ll give this a try.

First of all, welcome! 🙂 And I promise, no muscle-y man muscles here. The weights seem to be more for just resistance than anything. I’m up to using 5 lb weights, but the moves go so fast, it doesn’t seem like true weight lifting. I love the workout!
