I am so thrilled to tell you I have reached my first fitness goal for the year! I started the Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred around the beginning of the year and it took me about 3 1/2 months to finish the entire thing. Yes, I know it’s 30 days and yes, I know it took over triple that amount of time.
This truly was a fantastic and EFFECTIVE workout. There are three different workouts, each a little bit more intense. I did ten consecutive days of each workout, finishing with 10 days of the 3rd, which made me feel a bit like a superhero every time I finished. It was that intense.
Overall, I lost 13 pounds and FIVE jean sizes. Seriously, five. All it took was about 25 minutes per day, which was more often than not squeezed into an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or afternoon nap time. So quick and SO effective. I have muscles in places I forgot even existed since having kids.
I have started the routine again, with the intent of mixing up the workouts this time so I don’t get into a rut. I’m thrilled with how well I’ve been able to work it into my day.
I’m not telling you that you should do this workout or that it will be as effective for you. I’m just sharing my experiences and they truly were fantastic. In case you’re interested, Amazon has the full DVD for just $7.69 right now, less than I paid!
