Over the past few months, I have made a few updates and changes to the Pantry/Household Stock-Up Price List that I wanted to share with you.
First of all, I have added tons of new Costco comparison prices and updated the majority of the prices with any price increases or decreases. I spent a good amount of time roaming up and down the aisles of our local store, trying to list everything you might find useful. Hopefully this helps all you Costco shoppers (or even non-Costco shoppers) to compare what is a good price on an item for your family.
Second, I combed through the Winco bulk section and added a column with all of these prices. This will help you compare prices per ounce or per pound to determine what is really a good deal. Even if an item has a slightly higher price per ounce or pound at Winco, I will still pick it up there if I only need a small amount. You are not saving money by buying in large amounts at Costco if you aren’t going to use all of the item in a timely fashion. You could also consider splitting items at Costco with a friend, but buying from the bulk section is a great option as well.
While this isn’t necessarily an update, I wanted to share with you a quick searching tool in Google Docs if you didn’t already know it. With the document open, hit CTRL-F and a search box will pop up.
Type in what ever it is you are looking for and hit Find, the item should pop right up. If there are multiple matches, you can click Find again and it will scroll through the different matched items. This makes it super easy to navigate the list, I use it all the time and I created the list!
I will continue to add to the list as I get more prices or find items I missed. If you see something not on the list that you are curious about, please ask! For a complete breakdown of what I have added to the list and why, read my original post here. To go directly to the list, click here.
