What will I be picking up?

If I didn’t just get a Shark for Christmas, you can bet that would be on my list.  I’m currently trying to talk myself out of the memory foam mattress topper, but not really succeeding.  As for what I will really be picking up, the Arm & Hammer detergent is an amazing price, as is the Langer’s juice (and it also sounds yummy!).  I am going to pick up some more of the Ziploc bags as well.  Sometimes it’s easy to forget that Costco can beat a good coupon deal.  It may seem like you are getting a better deal when you are paying less for the smaller package, but it’s always important to compare per ounce, pound or unit to truly gauge the deal.

You can read all about my favorite things to pick up at Costco here.

I recently updated my Pantry/Household Stock-Up List with tons of Costco prices.  If you are looking for a specific price or looking to compare a Costco price with what I consider a stock-up price, definitely check out the list.

What will you be picking up this month?

Thanks so much for posting this! Yesterday I was searching for the yogurt price. Now I know I will buy it at CostCo this time :)

Their memory foam is amazing!

Does anyone know if that is a good price for print cartridges? I don’t buy them often enough to know what the best price is for a 2 pack, but I would like to stock up if it’s worth it.

Do you always post the Costco match ups? Just wondering because I hate getting the mailers and making a trip for something that I am not sure if its going to be a good deal or not. Thanks so much for posting this :)

I do, every month! I try to have them up the day before the coupons go live, was just a little behind after the holiday.

I love seeing your matchups. I also love that you put couponing in perspective for mommas of young children. While I am sure that are better deals, for someone like me, I would rather keep my sanity than try to visit 4 different stores to save a few pennies. Thanks. (Also love your fitness blogs, but that’s for a different day.)

Get the mattress topper… that memory foam is unbelievable and worth every penny

I don’t think this was in the coupon book, so I wanted to share it here.

The Boxes of Huggies Diapers that are $38.99 have an instant rebate of $7.50 (limit 2) making them only $31.49 a box. I don’t know all the counts, but the size 5’s that I bought came with 162, for a price of 19.4 cents per diaper. (Which I think is really good!)

For the ease of going in and buying them with no hassle, I would say that is a good price as well. The smaller sizes will be cheaper as well. We are expecting twins in March so I will be heading to Costco this week to snatch that deal up!

I was so excited about the Tostitos at $2.19, but found them at my store for $1.99!!

Im so glad I found you!! I have transitioned from being a full on couponer to a part time couponer while being pregnant with twins the last few months. I had a lot of anxiety about what it would do to our budget, but it has been a relief. Glad to find you have similar ideals and do Costco matchups!! My favorite store!

I totally agree! Once I let go of the idea that I needed to save hundreds of dollars each month (and instead save my sanity), it was such a relief. Glad you found me too!

I have always loved your costco matchups. Just curious if you have ever thought of changing your blog’s layout to make it easier to print a list from your matchups, ie check boxes to make one’s personal shopping list. Thanks.

Emilie and I have gone back and forth on this. We both really like the idea, but it totally changes the layout, which I’m not sure I love. I have yet to find a widget that I really like or that keeps the layout of my match ups close to how they are (you have a lot less freedom). I’ll keep poking around and see what I can find!

We didn’t get our mailer. Do you know if you even need them anymore? Last time I was in I gave her my mailer but she said she already scanned the coupons (she had a book at the register). I know all the coupons have the same code but just wondering if I actually need to bring one in with me or not. Anyone know?

Reply

Melody January 5, 2013 at 1:30 pm

I’ve done it both ways, with coupons and without. I don’t think they technically NEED the coupons since they generally scan their own anyway. We weren’t getting our mailer either after we moved, so I had to go into customer service and request to be put back on the mailing list.
