My Kids Were Here. (Along with several large vehicles)

by Melody on November 1, 2012

Each week I will be sharing a different photo, something that throws me right back into the little moments of joy that my kids create.  Something that reminds me.  My kids were here.

They are building new houses at a serious pace in and around our neighborhood and have been working on the house next to ours for about a month.  This means we have seen cement mixers, semi-trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, cranes, you name it.  While this stuff fascinates me a little bit (it’s amazing to watch the speed at which these houses go up!), to my vehicle-obsessed son, this is like a little slice of heaven on earth.

I found him parked outside on the sidewalk a week or so ago, just calmly checking out the action.  Complete and utter fascination.  Little man and his little truck watching the big boys get to work.

If you have blogged (or would like to blog) about similar moments in your children’s lives, I will be adding a link-up to the end of each post starting next week.  If you do not have a blog and have a photo you would like to share, go ahead and send the photo to me at beautifulfrugallife {at} gmail {dot} com with the subject title “My Kids Were Here”.  Please include a paragraph or two letting us know what the photo means to you or what moment it represents.
