My Kids Were Here.

by Melody on October 24, 2012

Each week I will be sharing a different photo, something that throws me right back into the little moments of joy that my kids create.  Something that reminds me.  My kids were here.

As most of you know, we recently sold our home and purchased a new house.  We lived in our self-proclaimed “starter home” for almost 8 years and were undeniably ready to move on.  However, this house welcomed both of our newborn babes.  It holds so many memories for us and will always keep a soft spot in my heart (although I never looked back once we drove away).

My husband and I dropped off the boys at my parents house so we could finish up all the last-minute packing and cleaning.  While moving some boxes, I found these cars lined up on our front step.  Our youngest son took his cars everywhere, lined them up, drove them around.  I felt like he left them here as a poignant reminder of what once was and will always be the home that started their little lives.  One last line-up, friends.

If you have blogged (or would like to blog) about similar moments in your children’s lives, I will be adding a link-up to the end of each post.  If you do not have a blog and have a photo you would like to share, go ahead and send the photo to me at beautifulfrugallife {at} gmail {dot} com with the subject title “My Kids Were Here”.  Please include a paragraph or two letting us know what the photo means to you or what moment it represents.
