There are so many photo sites out there these days, it’s hard to know where to find the best quality for the best price without trying them all out. I’ve tried several different sites to utilize various promotions, but always come back to a select few.
Shutterfly is my all time favorite site for pictures, holiday cards, Christmas cards, photo books and so much more. They even have custom thank you notes that you could set aside for after the holidays. We have one photo book chronicling the arrival of both of our sons from Shutterfly. They are such high quality and super easy to make. My oldest loves looking through his and pointing out pictures of people he recognizes.
I’m definitely planning on creating most of my holiday cards at Shutterfly this year. Their designs are just out of this world, I am not all that into the fancy scroll-work and elegant looking cards. I wanted something fun and a little whimsical (when did I start using words like my mother?) and their card designs fit the bill perfectly. The quality is outstanding too, we have been SO happy with our cards.

At Christmas, I am most looking forward to our Christmas morning. There isn’t a lot that goes under the tree but it is like time stands still. We sleep in a little and make a yummy coffee drink, eat a homemade treat and say a prayer. Then our stockings are opened one gift at a time because they are individually wrapped. We take turns and we guess before we open each one. Also, family comes over in the morning. We cook up a big brunch and sit around the table chatting and laughing. After brunch, we open a special present that Rudolph left the night before. It contains reindeer games complete with instructions and rules. Last year it was a paper airplane contest, yo-yo contest (we each received a yo-yo of our own) and a small wooden bowling set. The yo-yos were a hit! When the games are complete, our extended family continue on their way (we meet up for dinner at my MIL’s in late afternoon for a feast) and we open a few family gifts. The morning extends itself all day and we feel like we are spoiled and loved.
