*$.29/battery for AA or $.37/battery for AAA.  This is decent, I generally try to match any grocery/drugstore prices with these Costco prices.  I would pick some up if you are low as battery deals don’t come around all the time.

The Body Shop Body Butter (3 pack, 10.1 oz) priced at $29.99

*This seems like a good price for the much larger size, thoughts?

Kirkland Signature Diapers priced at $36.99
Use $5/1 coupon from home mailer (limit 2)
$31.99 after coupon
*Works out to just $.15/diaper for size 3, which is pretty good if your stockpile is running low

Kirkland Signature Diapers priced at $36.99
Use $5/1 coupon from home mailer (limit 2)
$31.99 after coupon or $.15/diaper for size 3

Kirkland Signature Wipes (900 ct) on sale $15.99 (limit 2)
*Less than $.02/wipe, great price!

Aller-Tec (365 ct, comparable to Zyrtec) on sale $12.79 (limit 4)
*This works out to less than $.04/tablet.  My husband made the switch to these this year as his normal allergy medicine went OTC and has had ZERO problems. There is also a coupon for the Allerfex, which I think is a generic for Allegra, but I missed the price on that one.

Vicks Nyquil or Dayquil LiquiCaps (72 ct) or NyQuil Liquid (3/12 oz) priced at $14.99
Use $4/1 coupon from home mailer (limit 6)
$10.99 each after coupon
*$3.66 per 12 oz bottle or $.15/liquigel, not completely amazing price but decent

What will I be picking up?

I will for sure be picking up the feta cheese (I LOVE having this on hand for salads, grilled cheese, pretty much anything that needs a jolt of flavor) and the Starbucks coffee.  The price per ounce/pound can’t be beat.

Since we are moving into a new house, I am trying to easily pick up some basics instead of chasing deals all across town.  I picked up toilet paper last month at Costco, so this month will snag the Bounty paper towels and sponges.  We are pretty set on most everything else.

You can read all about my favorite things to pick up at Costco here.

I recently updated my Pantry/Household Stock-Up List with tons of Costco prices.  If you are looking for a specific price or looking to compare a Costco price with what I consider a stock-up price, definitely check out the list.

What will you be picking up this month?

Thank you so much for doing these match ups faithfully. You are the only one on the web who does such a thorough job and I really appreciate it! This is a slow month for me coupon-wise. I’ll pick up the Aller-tec since we have 3 in our household who take it daily. Maybe the instant oatmeal? Nothing else is looking that great.

I’ll get feta, Cascade, Larabars and sponges!!

Larabars are my new favorite thing!!! They only have a few ingredients in each bar (cherries, dates and walnuts!); nothing weird or extra. LOVE them! And I don’t feel guilty AT ALL when I eat them!

Great price for feta cheese and I’ve frozen feta in the past and had no problems with it thawing. I usually freeze half of the Costco container anyways, to ensure it doesn’t go bad before I use it up.

Thank you for doing the Costco round-up! My ex gets the coupon book and I’m always waiting (no more!) for the deals! lol Many thanks for your hard work and thoroughness :)

This is the first time I’ve seen a Costco matchup like this, it’s great! I will say I am not a fan of the Kirkland brand diapers. I think something changed about a year ago. We used to buy them all the time but the last few times have been terrible, leakage like crazy! I am definitely willing to pay a little more for Huggies, coupon or no.

Emily, I agree! I have used and like the Kirkland brand in the past but they are not the same anymore. Last batch pushed me over the edge and I can’t buy them again. :(

The Huggies are almost the same price per diaper anyway. Plus they are great diapers!

How do you compare the price of liquid or powdered dish detergent to the tabs? I see the tabs listed frequently in price per load but I don’t really know what the average price per load is for the regular stuff.

Melody September 12, 2012 at 8:38 pm

I don’t actually have a good answer since I always use the tabs. Do the liquid or powdered show per load like laundry detergent does? I guess I would figure you use about an ounce per load, you could figure that way.

Yes, Great deal on Cetaphil, the smaller size is anywhere from $10-13 dollars at Target, Walgreens, Freds…

These have become my favorite match-ups! Thank you so much for doing them every month! I am still surprised at how many deals I was missing before you started doing these. You would think I didn’t know how to use a calculator!! :)

It’s so much easier for me to write the prices down and THEN figure the per ounce/lb price at home. When I get in the store, even if I have a calculator, I panic and can’t figure anything out!

The Kleenex in the 30/125ct for $24.40 Seems like an awful big investment when you can by name brand Kleenex for the same price right now at Bimart without any coupon
Their ad price is 3/184 ct for 2/$7.00. And you can choose a variety of colors. The 30 pack you have no choice.
