Somebody recently informed me that I can access Consumer Reports Online with my local library membership. I was floored! How did I miss this? I’m constantly begging friends who have paid memberships to do research for me. Or, when searching for a product, I just Google and waste my afternoon away reading biased reviews.
I wanted to let you know about this because I’ve heard several library systems offer this. Hooray!
If you can’t get it through your library, a subscription to Consumer Reports Online is $30/year and currently a Consumer Reports magazine subscription retails for $29/year at Amazon. As far as I can tell, the online membership has everything the magazine includes.
Our family really believes in less waste, less junk and less clutter so we try to buy quality on items we will use for a long time rather than get whatever is cheapest. I really believe it saves money in the long run. Consumer Reports has been an invaluable resource in doing this.
