I was recently contacted by a company called Pasta Prima, who makes high-quality pasta products. They were offering my family the chance to try their new 100% Certified Organic Spinach & Cheese Ravioli that is now available at Costco and Safeway in the refrigerated section. They had me at organic and Costco. I was in.
Their ravioli is made with spinach and mozzarella cheese and is guaranteed to be free of GMOs, pesticides and herbicides. One of my favorite parts about this company is that their packaging carries the Green-e symbol, which means that 100% of the electricity used to manufacture the product is offset with the purchase and on-site generation of renewable energy (details here). Talk about a double-whammy for the environment.
Not only does their ravioli have amazing flavor and is super creamy from the delicious cheese, it is crazy easy to make. It takes about 3 minutes to cook, which is quite possibly a record for anything in our house. We try to make the majority of our meals from scratch, but this is a fantastic alternative for a busy night. My 3-year old was so excited he got to help stir that he wanted ravioli every night for a week.
Both my kids loved their ravioli. We just served with a traditional marinara sauce, but there are so many ways you could dress it up. Pasta Prima even has several recipes available on their website.
Pasta Prima offers 3 organic flavors and even 2 gluten-free flavors as well! I found the twin packs of Organic Spinach & Cheese Ravioli at Costco for just $9.99. One of the packets was enough to feed our family of four for dinner. Safeway carries this flavor as well in their refrigerated section.

I would love to try the butternut squash! I probably do half of my shopping at a grocery store and half at costco. For things like frozen ravioli, I generally buy it at costco because it’s much cheaper. The problem is, I want to try something first before I buy it in bulk. I’ve seen these at my costco and hope everytime I go that they’re being sampled so I can try them!
