If you have been reading this blog for awhile, you may know about my undying love for the Flip & Tumble 24-7 Reusable Shopping Bag. It made the most important list of 2011: Melody’s List of Favorite Things. Those were pretty coveted spots and the 24-7 Bag got seriously high marks.
I was over-the-moon thrilled when Flip & Tumble offered to send me two of their other products to try out. Honestly, I was so in love with the 24-7, I would have reviewed a paper bag had they sent it to me. They sent me a set of Reusable Produce Bags and a Hooknook.
I was instantly enamored with the produce bags. Although I use traditional reusable shopping bags almost religiously, I had never given much thought to the bags I stuck my produce in. These are brilliant. They come in a set of five, which is just about perfect for the weekly shopping trips I make. They are totally breathable, easy to store (I just shoved 4 of them into the 5th and called it good) and they are machine-washable.
The Hooknook is such a creative idea. The key ring I currently have by the front door has just about everything but keys. A dog leash that we haven’t used in years, a stuffed toy that talks, some kind of metal chain for something unknown, an old set of keys that goes to something unknown. And my car keys, stuffed on the only semi-open hook. The Hooknook means I can get rid of all that “stuff” that definitely doesn’t belong. I also thought about using it in the bathroom to hold our drain plug that always gets lost. If I had an office that wasn’t the living room couch, I would totally use it there to hold supplies.

I love the 24/7 bag. I keep my reusable bags in my trunk and always realize that is exactly where I have left them when I’m getting in line to pay for a cart full of groceries. Love the idea of always having it handy!
The produce bags!! I have two of another brand currently, but it’s not enough. I get asked about them all the time, and I love them so much, especially for wet things like lettuce, etc. that you don’t want to get slimy inside a plastic bag. I like that the flip & tumble produce bags have different colored tags on them, so you could keep certain things always in certain bags, if you wanted to. I know some people use them for bulk foods too (like nuts from the bins) so having a designated color of bag-tag for that would be nice.

I think the produce bags would be wonderful. I shop for produce more than anything and they would be great for the Farmer’s Market as well.

I love the Hooknook! My family needs those to keep track of our car keys. My teenage son is great for putting the keys somewhere and not remembering where they are. I would also put a couple in his room for him to keep his wallet and other items he is always searching for.
