My simple Albertsons Twice the Value coupon trip

by Melody on January 15, 2012

It’s been awhile since I’ve been excited about anything at Albertsons, at least enough to get me out the door on a Sunday morning.  I wanted to share my trip today, as it was super basic and would make an easy trip for even the most beginner of coupon shoppers.

The Twice the Value coupons can be found in today’s newspaper (1/15) in sets of 3.  Each coupon will double the value of a manufacturer coupon up to $1.

Transaction 1:
(2) Activia Yogurt (4 pack) $2.50
Ken’s Salad Dressing $2
Used (2) $1/1 Activia coupons from 1/15 SS insert
Used $1/1 Ken’s coupon from 1/8 SS insert
Used (3) Twice the Value coupons (- $3)
$.33 each after coupons

Transaction 2:
(6) Barilla Whole Grain Pasta $1.50 (2 rang up free as part of B2G1 promo)
Ken’s Salad Dressing $2
Used (2) $1/2 Barilla coupons
Used $1/1 Ken’s coupon from 1/8 SS insert
Used (3) Twice the Value coupons (- $3)
$.29 each after coupons

My total out of pocket spent was just $3 for 10 items or $.30 each.  I was most excited about the pasta, as somehow our stockpile is getting low.

I did notice that the Francesco Rinaldi Pasta Sauce was part of the B2G1 promotion at just $1.50 each.  I have a $1/2 ToBe Healthy Pasta Sauce coupon from the December issue of Disney Family Fun, which combined with a Twice the Value coupon would make these just $.33 each.  My store didn’t carry that particular type of sauce, but definitely worth checking out if you have the coupon.

Did anyone else head out to Albertsons today?

I wish my family would eat whole grain pasta. Alas. We were already well stocked on salad dressing, but I nabbed a couple free land o lakes butters, used my rain checks from a few weeks ago, and found a local deal for $0.29 cans of S&W black beans!
