My Whole Foods/Living Social shopping trip

by Melody on November 10, 2011

Living Social had a deal a few months back for a half-price gift card to Whole Foods.  Unfortunately, we don’t have a Whole Foods in our area, BUT I did have a trip planned to Seattle to visit Emilie so I knew I could take advantage of the deal.

Before leaving Seattle last Sunday, I swung in to Whole Foods and fell in love.  They have a huge selection of organic, all-natural, gluten-free and just-about-everything-else free products.  They had a wonderful bakery, a HUGE olive bar, a great selection of craft beer (which is what my husband got for keeping the kids all weekend) and so much more!

I was able to get everything in the picture above, including 4 pounds of organic apples in the paper bag and an enormous loaf of ciabatta bread (which is already gone) for right around $11.  This is factoring in the $10 I paid for the $20 gift card, plus an extra $1 because I didn’t do my math right.  Either way, $11 for all of that is a crazy deal.

This is just one of the ways I use daily deal sites and half-price vouchers to my advantage.  To read more on how I use them, click here.

Awwww….you’re making me homesick! I used to shop at Whole Foods ALL the time when we lived in Portland. It’s like a little slice of organic heaven! The big joke was that everyone called it “Whole Paycheck”. :) Nice job on getting great deals!!
