Zaycon Foods is returning with a gigantic event all across the country: Purchase 40 pounds of fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts for just $1.49/pound!
How can you get in on this deal?
Your chicken will be available to purchase on Tuesday September 27th at 5 PM. At this time, you will place your order through your account and reserve your box(es). You can actually create or log in to your account now and see all the different delivery dates and pick-up locations. On the day of pick-up, you just swing on through with your order confirmation and they throw your chicken in the car for you.
Zaycon offers 100% natural chicken with no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients. They deliver straight from the farm to the consumer, so their chicken breasts are fresh, never frozen. They deliver to several different areas and only sell by the case. Each case is 40 pounds and separated into four separate bags. This will take some prep work when you pick up the chicken to trim, separate, prepare and freeze the chicken, but at $1.49 per pound, it’s really hard to pass up!
We were super happy with our chicken the last time around. There was minimal fat to trim and the chicken was really delicious. I’m thrilled that this deal is available again. I can NOT find prices this low, especially in this large a quantity.
If you are thinking 40 lbs of chicken sounds like a lot, consider splitting with a friend. My friend Sarah and I have split our chicken twice and it’s worked out great. Lower initial cost and less prep time on pick-up day. However, I’m actually thinking of getting a full case this time. I just can’t resist this price.
For more information and details, register for a free account with Zaycon Foods here. You will be notified by email when events are going to be available in your area (other events have been ground beef, bacon, peaches, apples and more).

ON TO THE GIVEAWAY
Zaycon Foods has very generously offered one lucky reader a 40 pound case of fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts. This will come in the form of a $65 credit in your Zaycon account, which can be used to purchase your chicken at your selected location.
Since you can begin to place your orders on Tuesday September 27th at 5 PM, I will end this giveaway on the 27th at 12 PM. I don’t want anyone to miss out on the sale because they were waiting to find out if they were the lucky one.
Please note: In order to be a valid winner of this giveaway, you must have a Zaycon Foods account as the credit will be deposited directly into your account. It is also a requirement that you live in an area that Zaycon is delivering the chicken.

I’m not sure it’s my all time favorite (but it’s close to it) but it’s also one of the easiest ways to fix chicken — chicken alfredo. Cut up about a pound of chicken into 1″ chunks. Put into a 8×8 casserole dish. Then pour two jars of alfredo sauce over it and put it in the oven (350 degrees) for about 40 minutes. Super easy !
What a great giveaway! My favorite chicken dish is not strictly chicken: jambalaya in the slowcooker. It makes cold, grey winter days zippy!
There are so many good recipes, but my favorite quick go to recipe is chicken breast seasoned and sauteed with red, yellow and orange bell peppers and walla walla onions and served over rice.

Lately I am super-addicted to chicken & rice-a-roni. It may not be the healthiest or most “sophisticated” dinner ever but oh my heck it is good. (Just cook the chicken, I always like a crispier outside and toss in with Rice-a-Roni while it cooks). I almost made it for my husband for dinner tonight but we had it about 4 nights ago so I figured he’d probably want a break. LOL
I also like Zaycon Foods on FB (and can I say this will be my 4th time ordering from them (2 ground beef, this will be my 2nd chicken event) and I am ALWAYS happy with the quality & the friendliness AND customer service (I once had to change order location, they were very helpful & it was fixed, no problem), plus they save us so much on food!! One of my family’s favorite (and one of the easiest) chicken recipes is salsa chicken. Basically season chicken breasts with taco seasoning, pour some salsa over them, bake at 350 for 25 minutes (or until juices run clear) and then sprinkle some cheese over the top and bake for 5 minutes. Then top with sour cream, cilantro, beans, what have you. Yum, yum!!!

My favorite recipe to use chicked is SUPER easy and my entire family loves it! I use a couple chicken breasts shredded, corn tortillas, grated cheese and a can of green enchilada sauce. I use a casserole dish, dip the corn tortillas in the green enchilada sauce and make a layer on the bottom of the pan. I then put some shredded chicken and then cheese and continue to layer until I get to the top. I top with cheese and bake just until the cheese is browned. YUMMY!!

The easiest chicken recipe is breasts in a freezer bag with some BBQ sauce and frozen until needed! Then just pull it out when you need it, and slow cook in a crockpot, then shred for sandwiches or over rice. My favorite for a whole chicken is thawed whole chicken in a crockpot and cooked on low for 8ish hours. Use it for anything!

My all time favorite way to prepare chicken is cornflake chicken schnitzel. I fillet the chicken breasts in half and flatten, coat them in parmesan cheese, then egg white mixed with a little lemon juice and water, then corn flake crumbs, and then fry in canola oil on medium heat until well browned on both sides. Serve with cracked pepper, lemon wedges, and fresh basil if desired. Crispy, juicy, and delish.

My absolute favorite way to make chicken is to put a few frozen breasts in the crockpot on low with a little chicken broth (about a cup) for 6-8 hours. Then, once it’s shredded I can do a plethora of ways with it! I can spice it up Mexican style into tacos, enchiladas, or a casserole. I can also go Italian, like a white lasagna, or add BBQ sauce and put it over whole grain brown rice. The possibilities are truly endless!
