The Tri-Cities Home Builder’s Association is gearing up for the 49th annual Parade of Homes celebration, but this year they have added a new twist to the event. September 15th and 16th, they are kicking off Chefs on Parade 2011. As part of this event, attendees will tour twelve different Parade homes and sample food from twelve different area-chefs, five homes on September 15th and the remaining seven on September 16th. You will be able to chat with the home-builders about the fabulous kitchens and meet the area-chefs to talk about their amazing cuisine.
The featured chefs are from restaurants and catering companies all over the Tri-Cities. This is going to be such a fun and exciting new way to showcase their talents. For those who visit all twelve homes, you will be able to vote for your favorite chef to be named Best Chef on Parade. To check out all the local chefs, visit the Chefs on Parade Facebook page.
I am SO EXCITED for this event. What an amazing twist on an already successful Parade of Homes tour. This will feel like our own personal Food Network show, getting to check out some amazing kitchens and amazing food with a personal touch.
Tickets are $35 per person or $30 each if you buy more than one. This includes entrance to all 12 houses on both nights AND includes a regular Parade of Homes ticket. The homes will be open from 5 PM to 9 PM both evenings. There are a very limited number of tickets available. You can purchase tickets through the HBA website.
Renee from the Home Builders Association of Tri-Cities contacted me and is very generously providing tickets for a lucky This Beautiful Frugal Life reader. I will be giving away two tickets to one winner. Please remember, these include the standard Parade of Homes ticket as well.

I have always LOVED the parade of homes. I always ask myself: what do I like about each home (especially kitchens!) and what would I put in my dream home. Adding a chance to try wonderful food and enjoy something new turns what is already fun and exciting into a spectacular event!

love the parade of homes, and love food as well! I’m excited to get new ideas for paint and kitchens to bring home to my own house!
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to win tickets to this event because my husband and brother-in-law built one of the homes in the parade this year! It would be a blast!
I “liked” Tri-City HBA on Facebook!
I recently moved and my house is a totally blank slate. I love the Parade for ideas of how to decorate because I have no clue. Not to mention that it would be a rare date night, something I’m desperately in need of!
