I have been selected to review a fabulous line of products from Franz Family Bakeries. To be completely honest, I am familiar with the name and have seen the products in stores, but never paid that much attention and definitely did not know they were a Northwest company.
They are a family-owned company that has been operating in the Northwest since 1906. The majority of their ingredients are sourced in the Northwest and they have seven different bakeries strategically placed around the areas that they serve to guarantee the freshest product possible. Franz products are only available in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, western Montana and Northern California.
I was SO thrilled to open my box of goodies. We generally buy a whole wheat white bread from Fred Meyer, so I was happy to see that all the breads for us to try were made with whole grain. We “try” to avoid foods with high fructose corn syrup, so I was really excited to see that the frosted animal cookies did not have any HCFS. These were one of my favorite treats as a kid and can’t wait for my kids to try them!
We ate toasted slices of the San Juan Island 9-Grain Bread with our potato, sausage and kale soup last night and it was delicious.
Right now, you can head over to the Franz Bakery site and print a coupon for $1 off the purchase of Franz bread. You can find more information on the site about the company, store locations and recipes.
I would love to hear if you have tried Franz bread. We have a Franz Bakery outlet here in the Tri-Cities that I definitely need to frequent more often.
I was provided all the products in the image above, but the opinions are 100% mine. Nobody tasted the bread for me and told me what to write. If my kids were old enough to understand what a product review was, they would have told you it was delicious instead of just inhaling it like adorable little vacuum cleaners.
