Saving Star is a fantastic site for electronic coupons that works a little differently than traditional e-coupons. You can load these coupons on to your store’s loyalty or rewards card and they will NOT be deducted from your bill at check out. When you purchase the item, the amount of the coupon will be automatically added to your Saving Star account. Once you hit a minimum of $5 in your account, you can request payment via bank deposit, Pay Pal or by Amazon gift card.
There are TONS of participating stores. I checked our local area and Fred Meyer, Albertsons and Rite Aid are included. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have even more ways to save at my favorite stores!
- Sign up for a new account here or check your zip code for participating retailers
- Add your store loyalty or rewards card to your account
- Add the ecoupons you want to your cards
Remember, these work a little differently. Your bill at check out will stay the same, but the amount of the coupon will be added to your Saving Star account between two days and two weeks, some up to 30 days.
I did email Saving Star and ask about using one of these ecoupons with a manufacturer coupon, this is the response I got:
“For now, SavingStar eCoupons will work whether or not you combine them with other services’ coupons, but they are not intended to be used this way. Manufacturers typically have policies limiting use to 1 coupon per purchase, but it is up to each shopper to adhere to these policies.”
So I will NOT be posting scenarios where you can use two coupons together. If you look through the coupons, however, there are several for items we don’t always see coupons for or are higher value than we normally get, so this is still a great program.

I am going to sign up for this right now, I’ll let you know how it goes–I really like the idea of this!

I signed up a few weeks ago and already used a $2 Huggies Diaper coupon at RiteAid. I will admit that I am a little skeptical about the program, it seems too easy and good to be true!
I too used the huggies coupon, and it shows that it credited to my account, so waiting to test the process when I hit $5.
Thanks for asking about doubling up on the coupons, it wasn’t clear at all on the website. I will only pair it with store coupons since that is allowed in almost all stores.
I need several of the things I added to my card so hopefully I will be able to test out getting the money fairly quickly! More money for diapers off Amazon, I’ve got 2 month old twins so we go through tons.
