Amazon has Traverse Bay Fruit Company dried cherries (4-lb box) for just $19.04 or $4.76 per pound, free shipping included.

These are tart cherries sweetened with sugar, with no preservatives or sulfites.  These would be perfect as a salad topper, to add to granola or homemade granola bars or in your morning oatmeal.  According to this article at LiveStrong, just 1 cup of dried cherries equals a full serving of fruit and they have TONS of other health benefits.

The article also states that dried cherries have a shelf life of up to 12 months.  If four pounds is too much for your family, consider splitting with a friend.

Emilie has done a little research for me on these.  She is pretty sure this is a cheaper price than you can find at Trader Joe’s and Nutty Guys sells them for $10.84 per pound.  They got great reviews as well!

Here’s how to take advantage of this deal:
  • Choose the “Subscribe & Save” button on the right hand side of the screen
  • Free shipping is included

This drops your price down to just $19.04 shipped!

Subscribe & Save does mean that you are now signed up to receive recurring shipments at whatever interval you chose. If you do not want to receive additional shipments, just go into “My Account” and click on “Manage Subscribe & Save Items”.  All you have to do is cancel your subscription, you are under no obligation to purchase additional items.

I was price checking a few things at Costco this morning, and noticed their cherries are $5.35/lb, so the Amazon price also beats Costco.
