My husband stayed home with the kids Sunday afternoon and I did some serious marathon shopping. I’m lucky in that I have three stores within a few blocks of each other so I’m not wasting gas running all over town.
Several of you have asked for pictures of my own shopping trips and to see how I “work” the deals. I truly don’t have a massive stockpile. I only get two newspapers each week and that is basically where my coupons come from. As you’ll notice, I pick the coupon deals that I want from each store, then pick up what fresh items are on sale while I’m there.
* I didn’t have enough coupons to do the Nivea body wash deal, but found two bottles on clearance for $2.99, used my $3/1 coupons from the 4/17 SS and got them free!
I get asked quite often if I buy groceries without coupons. DEFINITELY. I do shop the coupon deals to help build our stockpile or even to make money to use towards other items. We can not live on free items from Rite Aid (I wish). Our family eats fruit and vegetables with every meal, so I just have to be a smart shopper.
What has been your favorite deal this week?

I was really excited for the tropicana deal. We get free juice from WIC, but only apple and grape, so the kids got a rare treat. Plus the free eggs were just in time for our egg dying playdate this morning!
I was also glad to get more pasta (a staple in our home) and who doesn't love pasta that cooks in 3 minutes!!
I told the cashier at Albertsons that my husband was going to be so excited that we were getting orange juice. He usually drinks cranberry juice every morning, but this was a treat. And so cheap!
I did good at Rite-Aid, but I was really happy to find Yo Baby yogurt at Albertson's. Regular price for a 4 pack is $2.69. With a $1/1 coupon and a doubler, I got it for $0.69. My son was thrilled with his banana "yo-yo".
