Giveaway: $50 gift card to Ross Dress for Less

I was recently contacted by a representative from Ross Dress for Less with information about their Spring Dress Event running through April 22nd. They very generously offered me a $50 gift card to check out the sale for myself. I have to confess, it’s been YEARS since I shopped at Ross.

As most of you know, I have recently lost some weight after Little Dude #2 was born (thanks to Jillian Michaels) and I seriously have nothing to wear. Nothing. No pants, shorts, capris, sweats. Nothing. Not to mention, the weather is getting warmer and most of my clothes are either maternity or post-baby. You know what I’m talking about. I was SO excited to go find a few things for myself!

I was pleasantly surprised to find their prices are REALLY low. The only thing I bought that was over $10 was a pair of shoes, and they were only $13.

I tried really hard to talk myself into buying a pair of snakeskin heels, but couldn’t remember a time in recent history that I would need to wear something like that. That being said, I’m still debating going back and getting them. My husband and I have a wedding to go to. In Montana. In October. Perfect snakeskin heel wearing weather? I think so.

After repeatedly steering myself away from the kid’s section (I kept trying to convince myself that I should buy shoes for my son), I found some amazing deals!

For everything in the picture above, I spent just $64. That’s TWO dresses, a pair of Chinese Laundry flats, two shirts and a pair of workout pants. My original plan was to buy both dresses, try them on at home and then return one. However, once I tried them on, I fell in love and couldn’t part with either one.

So I would have spent only $54. I’m blaming it on my husband, who was sufficiently impressed that I had even bought a dress in the first place.

Disclosure: Just in case it wasn’t clear, Ross did give me a $50 gift card to give their store a try. All the opinions are my own. I am outrageously frugal by nature, so even with the gift card, I only bought items that I would have spent my own money on.

It was a huge blessing to be able to add a few things to my wardrobe. My husband and I are going away together this weekend and I don’t think he would have appreciated me walking around in sweats that look like they could fit a few extra people in them.

I was pleasantly surprised to find their prices are REALLY low. The only thing I bought that was over $10 was a pair of shoes, and they were only $13.

After repeatedly steering myself away from the kid’s section (I kept trying to convince myself that I should buy shoes for my son), I found some amazing deals!

So I would have spent only $54. I’m blaming it on my husband, who was sufficiently impressed that I had even bought a dress in the first place.
