RITE AID WELLNESS+ PROGRAM ROLLING OUT

by Melody on March 12, 2010

Rite Aid Wellness+ official press release

Rite Aid has been offering their Wellness+ program in select markets and is now rolling it out to all areas!  Go here to sign up now and you will be mailed a Wellness+ discount card.  You will also be able to print a $5 off $25 purchase coupon.

When you shop with your Wellness+ card, you will receive one point for every dollar you spend.  Earn 25 points for every prescription purchased.  (Your points are accrued during one calendar year)

For every 125 points (maximum of 375), you will receive a one-time shopping pass for 10% off your purchase.

When you reach 500 points, you will receive 10% off all non-prescription purchases and a free health screening.

When you reach 1000 points, you will receive 20% off all non-prescription purchases.

EVERYDAY BENEFITS

* Members-only sale pricing throughout the store
* 10% off all Rite Aid brand products every day
* Printable coupons with awesome offers for members only
* Wellness+ coupons printed on the bottom of your receipts

Your Wellness+ coupons are store coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons or even more savings.  I verified with Rite Aid’s customer service that these can NOT be stacked with an in-ad coupon or a Video Values coupon, as these are all considered store coupons.  The best part about these coupons is that they are not brand specific the majority of the time.  For example, I have used a $2 off $2.99 or more cosmetic purchase coupon and a $1 off $1.99 or more pain relief purchase coupon.

I have been taking advantage of the Wellness+ program for a few weeks now (my local store has been accepting the coupons and discount card) and it is super easy to use.  I have never had a problem stacking my coupons and my account has already started accumulating points.

I’m so excited about this new dimension to Rite Aid shopping.  If you have any questions, please let me know.  I have been in touch with a really helpful guy in Rite Aid’s Public Relations department that is willing to answer questions for us.

Melody – This program is awesome. I am in the part of NC that has the test since last Fall. Coming the wellness coupons w/ manu q's, scrs, video q's, in-ad q's, and $4/$20 q's, you get so many freebies. I do most of my drugstore shopping now there. You can't beat it. If I can help answer any questions, I would be glad to…MandM

I would imagine they won't honor it until the Wellness+ program rolls out. I just printed mine and it doesn't expire until the end of May and the program is set to roll out before then, so I would just hang on to it. They should honor it after that however, I'll ask at my local store when I see the manager and let everyone know.

In the meantime, if you need a $5 off $25 coupon, there are a few out there.

On "I Heart Rite Aid", she is reporting that the program will start 4/15 but I haven't seen it on Rite Aid's site anywhere (unless I am totally missing it). She's usually pretty accurate with her info. Keep an eye out in your local store for any information, can't wait!
